CPCS Ride on Roller (A31)

This CPCS training course is aimed at people who require a formal qualification for operating a ride on roller.
Course information
Through a combination of targeted training and experience, an individual with the ride on roller will be able to:
- All pre-start, running checks and shut down procedures
- Set roller for travel
- Awareness of on-site hazards
- Set the roller for compaction duties
- Place roller in an out of service condition
- Recognise compacted/uncompacted areas
- Conditions that may cause instability of the roller
- Safety procedures when working up to unsupported edges
- Loading and unloading procedures on/off a transporter.
Entry Requirements
Learners must have passed the Operatives Health, Safety and Environment Test within the last 2 years, prior to course start date.
A good understanding of spoken and written English.
Assessment
A mixture of classroom based teaching and practical exercises, followed by a one day assessment.
Certification
Learners will receive a Red CPCS Trained Operator Card on passing the CPCS technical tests, valid for two years.
