NRSWA Street Works Courses

Pro Aspire

New Roads and Street Works (NRSWA) course enable both operatives and supervisors to carry out works to the standards of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991. This requires anyone who works on the highways to be qualified for the job being carried out.

Pro Aspire provides the following NRSWA Street Works courses:

NRSWA Unit 1 - New Roads and Street Works

This course covers cable avoidance training (CAT and Genny training), teaches individuals how to avoid underground cables and pipes whilst excavating roads and pavements.

NRSWA Unit 2 - New Roads and Street Works

This course covers signing, lighting and guarding, teaches delegates how to set out barriers, traffic lights, signs and cones safely.

NRSWA Unit 10 - New Roads and Street Works

This course covers monitoring signing, lighting and guarding and is suitable for anyone who wants to be able to supervise others setting up signing, lighting and guarding equipment on the highway.

NRSWA Operative - New Roads and Street Works

This course provides Operatives with the skills and knowledge to perform operative duties in line with the current New Roads and Street Works (NRSWA) Act to safeguard themselves and others.

NRSWA Supervisor - New Roads and Street Works

This course provides Supervisors with the skills and knowledge to perform supervisor duties in line with the current New Roads and Street Works (NRSWA) Act to safeguard themselves and others.

NRSWA Refresher - New Roads and Street Works

This course course is for both Operatives and Supervisors whose New Roads and Street Works ticket is due to/or has expired. Reassessments must be completed no earlier than 6 months prior to expiry and no later than 6 months after expiry. After this you will be required to take the original units.
